Spray Foam Insulation is Superior
Spray foam insulation is by far the most superior insulation material on the market today. Applying spray foam in your home or building will dramatically improve the energy efficiency of the space.
Thermal Properties:
Foam insulation has substantial thermal properties. Standard insulation materials such as fiberglass and cellulose have r-value’s ranging from 2.5 – 3.2 per inch installed. Spray foam carries an exceptionally high r-value of 3.9 – 7.4 per inch installed. This extremely high r-value proves that no other insulation material available today, performs as well as spray foam.
Air Sealing:
Not only does spray foam perform well as a thermal insulating product, it also works great in air sealing applications. Air sealing is a critical component of the energy efficiency within a home. Standard insulation materials such as fiberglass and cellulose can help prevent thermal energy loss within a home but, these products have zero air sealing benefits. Spray foam insulation seals around all electrical boxes, plumbing penetrations and wires. When applied properly, spray foam will expand into all cracks and voids and create an extremely tight building envelope.
Sound Proofing:
Spray foam insulation is a fantastic sound barrier. Foam absorbs sound waves and prevents them from entering unwanted locations. Typical foam sound proofing applications include: Home theaters, bathrooms, garages, bedrooms and high traffic areas.
Improved Air Quality:
Spray foam emits zero negative gasses and is 100% resistant to mold and moisture. Because spray foam is such a strong air sealant material, it prevents unwanted allergens from entering your home or building.

Spray Foam Options
Open Cell Foam:
Open cell spray foam is the most frequently applied material. This type of spray foam is the most economical to install. Open cell foam rapidly expands in seconds and completely air seals and insulates the surface its applied to. Common r-values seen in open cell spray foam range from 3.9 to 4.5 per inch installed. The open cell spray foam installation process is typically completed within 1-2 days. Making it affordable to install. Open cell spray foam is frequently installed in walls, attics and crawl spaces.
Closed Cell Foam:
Closed cell spray foam is the most efficient and effective insulation material available. Closed cell spray foam typically has R-values of 7.4 per inch installed. Closed cell spray foam is so effective that 2″ of foam can stop 95% of the energy attempting to travel through it. Closed cell works as a moisture barrier and actually improves the structural integrity of the building it is applied to. Common appilcations for closed cell spray foam are attics, exterior walls, crawlspaces, HVAC ducts, metal buildings and foundation walls.
